I have been working with the Hydraulic Ram Pump for some time now and I have posted many videos to help you learn about them. Since most of the videos have been about testing out new ideas and not so much the basics of the pump I figured that I would make a simple series to show you the steps of building a pump and installing then operation. So lets get started.

Side Note: You can buy a ram pump from Land To House that is pre-assembled and ready to be installed.

Build a Hydraulic Ram Pump

This video shows you the parts needed to build a ram pump then shows you the step by step instructions to assemble those parts. Here is the Ram Pump Parts List for the pump in this video.

Ram Pump Drive Pipe

Now that you have the pump built you need to get it installed. The first thing that you need to do is get the drive pipe set in your source. This video will show you the basics of the drive pipe and help you get the pipe primed and ready for the pump.

Ram Pump Delivery Pipe

The delivery pipe is the pipe that takes water from the pump to the place you want to use the water. The delivery pipe can effect the pump in a few ways that are both good and bad. In this video I show you how to install a delivery pipe and give you some pointers on how to get the most out of your delivery pipe.

Starting the Ram Pump

Now that you have the ram pump built and the two pipes installed, its time to get the pump running. The basic operation of the pump is simple and straight forward. In this video I show you how to start the pump and I give you some troubleshooting tips to keep the pump going if it wants to stop.

This concludes the basic ram pump series. I do hope that you have learned a lot about ram pumps and how they work. There are many more things that you can do with these amazing pumps and I hope to make a second series giving you much more detail than this basic series has offered. Now get out there and pump some water. … and Remember that you can purchase a pump from Land To house!!!
