In this Episode I test the Water Flow Rate of the Creek. There are a few ways to do this but this one worked well for my small creek.
Just use a 5 gallon bucket and clock with seconds.
The math that is used is simple:
(5 gallons / seconds to fill bucket) * 60 = gallons per min flow rate
Back in the early part of the year I took the bucket out to the same place and I was able to test with the same results. So it would seem as though I have the same amount of water flowing all year. At least this year anyway.
