I have three models of hydraulic ram pump for sale but I have done most of my testing on the 1-1/4″ drive pipe model. I thought it would be a good idea to start learning more about the other two sizes that I sell. In this video I learn how many gallons per minute the 3/4″ drive pipe model uses. I connect the pipe to a 55 gallon drum and find out how much time is needed for the drum to be emptied by the ram pump. Now I make a mistake in my math by adding the gallons pumped back to the equation when I should have left them out. There is a set number of gallons to start with and I cant add more to the 55 gallons. The ratio was found between gallons lost to gallons pumped.
