Today at HomeMadeVolts Bryan and I posted a video that shows how to measure the flow rate of a water supply. We took a trip to my land and cleaned out the bank of the creek so that we could get to the water coming out of a pipe. Then we measured the water with a 5 gallon bucket. The water filled the bucket in 3 seconds. That means that the flow rate in a minute is close to 100 gallons.
I was happy to get that value because it means that I have enough water to work with for hydro electric systems. Also I will be installing an electricity free pump soon. Check out the video and let me know what you think.
