Ram Pump Stand Pipe Does it Matter

I am asked rather frequently: Does it matter if you have a stand pipe on the ram pump? What does this mean you might be asking yourself. Well the way I see it people are asking if it is possible to bypass the stand pipe and just use a long drive pipe. In this video I test out the 1/2″ ram pump with 200 feet of drive pipe. I find out that the small pump is actually able to run very well with a long pipe. Check out the video to see the results.
